Each year, NATRE (the National Association of Teachers of Religious Education) run a competition to help students explore their spiritual ideas, questions and beliefs through art.

The competition contains 5 themes that students can choose to create a piece of art around, and once again this year they are brilliant themes that will get students talking, thinking, debating and questioning for themselves. There are categories for primary as well as secondary:

Primary themes:

  • Where is God today?
  • It's not fair! Faith and Justice
  • Seeing Jesus

Secondary themes:

  • Visions and Prophecy
  • Could Britain be a rainbow nation?

Why not approach your RE teacher or art teacher in your school and explore what this could look like in the summer term in your school. All entries must be in by 31 July 2016 and winners will be announced in the new academic year.
