The Enable: Schools Work course - Gather

At schoolsworkUK we believe that gathering together is a crucial part of supporting one another in this crazy game of life! Whether it is to socialise or to learn, to offer a listening ear or to pass on wisdom gained, coming together as a group of people and bonding around our common purpose of seeing young lives changed because of Jesus is one of the most important things we do.

So much of what we do as schoolsworkers, as youth or children's leaders, as volunteers is built around team work that discovering what our strengths, and the strengths of others are is really important. So it's good to get together with the team of people you work with and see frequently. And then every now and then you need fresh insight, a new perspective and a new challenge. Enable provides that: a new group of people to meet with, to learn with and from, to challenge our long-standing practices, or to form new traditions!

A number of past students say that getting together with others was a real highlight of their Enable year, in particular where those students were lone workers in their trust. Get involved; join up; find out more about what makes you tick as a leader in your field! Enable will be delivered at 4 different centres around the UK from September 2015: York, Luton, Bexleyheath, and Tonbridge in Kent. Go to our website for further details: enableschoolswork.co.uk or contact the Course Co-Ordinator by email jenni.osborn@schoolswork.co.uk

So let's gather. Gather because we were created to be in community, gather despite sometimes not wanting to, gather because it's fun; it's biblical; and it's good for our souls!
