End of term reflections

In a year that has seen Michael Gove move on and a new curriculum introduced, I wonder what has changed for you in your role or your work with children and young people over this last academic year?
There is a definite air of relief for in the staffroom as the end of term arrives, which I am sure you have been part of, with teachers counting down the days to their holidays or just having a well deserved lie-in. There is a sense of anticipation and excitement for students too, as the final bell of the summer term ebbs ever closer and the thought of long summer nights with no last minute homework to worry about becomes a delicious reality! There are also those students for whom summer and the long break away from the safety of school brings feelings of panic and anxiety for a variety of reasons.
There are students known to you who would fit into this final category and some of those you may be seeing over the summer.
