Making classroom resources
There are lots of sites on the web where you can design and print your own cards or stickers, but none comes close to ‘Moo’ for ease of use and quality of the finished product. Once you’ve uploaded your own photos (either directly or from Flickr), you design the loom at feel of the card or sticker and, hey presto, your results arrive through the post a few days later.
Moo postcards have great potential to be used as a classroom resource for schoolsworkers. You get 20 laminated postcards for £9.99 which is pretty reasonable given the quality and the fact that they’re laminated with a hard-wearing gloss.
CU resources
Does anyone know of any good resources for Secondary school Christian unions to use?
Resources
Partly in response to the last post and also after a conversation with another member of the schoolswork community earlier today, just wanted to flag up a couple of really great resources you may find useful in your work. Both will be added to the Resource Toolkit.
Justice - can we really change the world?
The August Youthwork magazine was all about Justice – and asked the question can young people really change the world? I’ve recently realised that we’re living in a time where changing the world is more possible than ever, that for the first time in history we have the technology, resources and know-how to get rid of extreme poverty, we just need to give our young people opportunities to grasp. So here’s one for you….

give up, give out
Here’s what looks to be a cool blog to follow for Lent. It’s called give up, give out. Not sure if Lent will be a big thing for you in your schoolswork, but here’s an angle which might be useful for your students to engage with. (here’s the explanation from their blog) - ‘You provide for all you have made’ is a line from a song sung in churches all around the country. It reminds us that God has infinite resources and wants to give to his creation. We’re told this year is going to be one of the hardest economically in a long time. Anxiety levels increase as people consider how they are going to survive. But what would happen if we didn’t only sing about a mighty provider but lived out the world He imagines is possible? This blog is an attempt to stir our imaginations and give it up to God by giving out to the world.

Orison Prayer Resources
If you’re thinking of running a prayer room or a reflective space in your school, you’ve come to the right place. Here are 11 ready to use resources, which require varying amounts of preparation and equipment, but are all available to you free of charge. They have been designed as part of Orison, which is a prayer initiative for use in schools encouraging children and young people to engage with prayer and thinking reflectively about themselves, other people, the places around them and God.
