Shooting Jesus
Looking for new resources to use in primary schools this Easter? Here’s a brilliant new teaching resource produced by CMS and the disocese of London. Not only does it lay out some good practical ideas to communicate the Easter story, but also gives some great tips about going into a school, especially if this is something you’re not used to doing.
The Impossible
Upon looking up impossible feats (for easter- Luke 18v27) I found a video clip you may have seen before but I think it could work really well.
Exploring the Cross
Here’s an activity you can use in RE with pupils aged 7-11 to help them think about the cross of Jesus and its meanings.
The Passion
Tonight was the first part of the BBC’s The Passion. See the next three parts on Monday, Friday and Sunday this week, with the first three episodes showing again on Sunday in case you missed them.
The Passion

Over Easter 2008, the BBC screened a dramatic account of the Passion story. Here’s a collection of resources to help you use the production in lessons or groups.
The Passion
The Bible Society have produced a pack to accompany the BBC TV series ‘The Passion’ which aired last Easter. If you’re doing lessons this Easter, this really is a fantastic pack to get your hands on. There are incredibly creative resources based on the 4 programmes helping students engage with the Easter story. There are links with the curriculum for KS3, 4 and 5, and it’s produced in such a way that the material can be adapted for your group, whether a lesson, a 6th form RE day, or even in a church setting. Highly recommend taking a look, more info here.

Chocolate Theology
Almost sounds too good to be true doesn’t it?! Well, the wonderful people at rejesus have come up with a creative little flash file that introduces the theme of easter alongside some great questions (and a interesting looking chilli & chocolate recipe!)....
Easter Emotions
In the March Youthwork Magazine we featured a lesson on Easter Emotions, helping students engage with the themes and emotions that the disciples experienced in the Holy week. Here is the downloadable presentation to accompany the lesson.
Easter Ideas
With schools breaking up in just a few weeks time for Easter holidays, it’s time to start sharing our ideas, stories, thoughts, assemblies and other stuff we might have planned for Easter. Here’s a collection of ideas and resources that have already been posted on the site, but hopefully putting them in this list for you makes your life a bit easier! Please feel free to contribute your own thoughts, questions and share a little bit about what you’re doing in schools for Easter this year…
