Pilgrimage board game

Saturday 27th Jun, 2009 by Amy Stock

This month’s Youthwork mag features a game idea based on the Pilgrim’s Progress. Uploaded here is a pdf* of the game, along with the original lesson plan and worksheet.

This pdf is a scanned copy of the original hand-drawn game board, and is sized at the original A2. You may need to reduce it to A3 to print, unless you have a way of printing on A2 (which would make the game easier to play).

download pilgrimage board game (it is a large file, so will take a minute to download. If you require a smaller version, here it is in A3: small game).

The game board will need some editing once printed (simply drawing in a few lines down the middle). This is due to the difficulty of scanning in an A2 hand-drawn sheet!

The lesson plan also includes script to help explain the different parts of the lesson and how it fits together.

The worksheet features a series of questions which reflect what the students have been exploring throughout the lesson.
