Wednesday 7th Nov, 2007 by Chris Curtis

Mark RoquesMark Roques is a Christian story teller and philosopher who specialises in getting young people to think about their world view and whether it makes sense. Apart from being very funny, his stories really make students think. You can check out his website here, and download and use some of his material for yourself.

Mark is a great presenter and philosopher. Have found all of his material useful to date. Love his stuff on Tom Feldman and postmoderism!

At Leeds Faith in Schools, we have had several training sessions, some great meals and lots of fun with Rocky! His stories and the way he uses them to bring points to life have really helped me be more effective when communicating about the Christian faith, especially John Portsmouth Football Club Westwood and Thomas Baker and the cannibals - both feature in two of our best assemblies.
Highly recommend him and his work to you all.

Mark has created a unique and incisive approach to sharing the good news in our culture.  Not only does he use tons of thought-provoking and sometimes cheeky stories, but the emphasis that comes through again and again is that following Jesus is about the whole of life.  These resources connect and engage and are easy to use.  In my parish I’ve used Mark’s stories in many different contexts, and found that they work every time.
