Mark Roques Interview
Thursday 1st May, 2008 by Amy Stock

I’m using Reality Bites in the church teenage group I run. Rocky’s stories and worldview pieces are a joy to work with - always generating good discussion, debate, arguments, fights, injuries etc. I heartily recommend them.
Brilliant! Many thanks for this - an unusual and imaginative approach. More from Rocky please!!!
Hi, I’ve known the Rockster for a good few years and his unique angle of teaching Christianity via worldviews is an interesting and non threatening approach for cool teenagers. It is also very life affirming and encouraging in these cynical post-modern times. We all love a good yarn and Rocky taps into this basic human need to great effect. If you are using them with youth groups, don’t over explain the stories, leave them ‘hanging’. It worked quite well for Jesus too!
Great stuff Amy, Mark.
It’s good - even from this distance from Australia - to “see” schoolswork entering into the life of young students and sharing in their education. That was what struck me from the interview ... here you are as mentors, as encouragers on the road that it times is rather hard and grueling, as those who have been through it making sure you don’t forget how you experienced it, and learning how a new generation is coming through and confronting life in this world that God loves so much ... I could go on and on but I’ll leave it for an email. Do keep up the good work. I’m watching and I’m interested to see how this develops ...
