I am retiring from Headship in July after teaching for 36 years. I have been a primary Head for 25 years serving in two contrasting schools: a rural priamry and a large urban multi-cultural primary in Scunthorpe. I am currently "caretaking" a small rural primary for one term. So the future is very exciting. It has been fantastic discovering schoolswork.co.uk as I feel passionate about the need for Christian work / ministry in schools. schools are under so much pressure I fear. At Ashby Wesley we have been successful in our ministry to non-church children and families over the past few years through holiday clubs and a monthly Saturday morning club. There is a burning desire / conviction to expand this work by drawing upon my skills, gifts and experience in reaching into one or two of our local primary schools. I must however listen to what God wants and be patient! Please pray for me over the coming months that I will be given discernment. Any advice?
