The Lost Sheep
Tuesday 27th Nov, 2007 in: Secondary by Andy Barthow
We are in the process of creating a series of videos that are modern day versions of some of the parables Jesus told. The first one that we have made is the parable of ‘The Lost Sheep’. The video can be viewed if you follow this link:

We have used the video in a number of school assemblies. It is primarily aimed for secondary school young people. We also have an assembly plan to go with the video.
If you would like a copy of the video and/or assembly plan, please email me at:
I’ll be happy to send you a copy.

I love this stuff.
We made some video versions of three parables a couple of years ago. These were broadcast by the BBC as ‘Curriculum bites RE’ and can be purchased on DVD. A good activity is to get pupils to look at two video versions of the parable, then challenge them to compare both with the text, say which is best, what are the value of each and so on. Then they can create their own DVD - well, storyboard at least, to show the ‘true meaning’ of the teaching.
