SchoolsLive is launched
A new and exciting website for leaders of Christian groups in schools has been launched by Scripture Union. SchoolsLive aims to put free, high quality, bible-based resources in to the hands of those leading groups in schools.
Leaders of groups in both primary and secondary schools can set up profiles for the groups that they run. SchoolsLive will then select activities suitable for the group. You can either follow a pre-planned programme for every week of the school year or devise your own programme by selecting activities from the vast (and growing) database.
Already there are meeting outlines for every single week of this term. Further materials will be added during 2008/9 to eventually create a three year programme. The materials have been written by trained and experienced schools workers and activities can be selected to suit those who have little or lots of experience of Christianity.
The best way to discover what SchoolsLive can do for your group is to visit the website - http://www.schoolslive.org - sign in / register and ‘Take the Tour’. You can then enter details about your group and start exploring the programme and sessions via the appropriate tabs.
It might be that Schoolslive is just what you, or someone in your area, are looking for at the start of a new academic year. Many people, especially young people, are keen to start a group but are sometimes short of ideas - well SchoolsLive takes the headache out of planning as it is all done for you. You simply have to select what you want to do and then download the compiled session outlines for your group.
I hope you have fun and find that SchoolsLive is a really useful tool for you as you are involved in this vital ministry to and in schools.

Brilliant and lets get the word out there to others who might like to know. Pass it on.
Well done Geoff and all others involved in making this happen.
Glory!!

What a great idea! Makes planning a whole lot easier. I’ll certainly pass this on to the sixth-formers who run the Christian Union at the school where I’m a governor.
It’s BRILL!
