life in pictures
This is cool. Action for Children, a charity supporting vulnerable children and young people, have come up with a set 150 artworks by celebrities about their life journeys. The contributors were asked to depict the start and end points of a transformational experience personal to them, with a single, unbroken line. (some of them do this, some don’t!). Ex-England defender Tony Adams points towards how he beat his drink problem, while TV’s Duncan Bannatyne maps the rise of his business empire.

It’s a great idea to use with young people and one which could work well in schools. Ask, for example, a young person to draw a transformational experience in their lives without taking the pencil off the page. Might be a useful tool for some older young people, especially when thinking about times of transition and moving on, as a lot of them will be at this time of the year, to college, university or work.
