Creative Ideas for Yr 9 Lesson on Suffering

Friday 30th May, 2008 in: Secondary by Mark Lawrence
TAGS: lesson

I have to do a series of year 9 lessons on suffering and evil. Having done similar lessons with older young people I have usually made it very discussional based but due to the younger age group and the nature of the young people who I will be working with I am looking for some more creative ways of exploring the themes....any suggestions??

Thanks

Hi Mark, I have been doing a series of lessons on suffering and evil with a low ability Year 11 group. Because of the group’s ability the lessons are pitched to about year 9 level. The lesson plans for the first and last in a series of three lessons have been posted on the resource toolkit. The worksheet to go with it looks pretty uninspiring, but if it was funked up a bit could also be useful. Hope this helps, would love to know how it all goes.

Mark, the lesson plans Jane mentions here are just being formatted for the site. They’ll be up by tomorrow at the latest.
Blessings
